Why: |
Nearly 60 percent of American
parents think community service should be
emphasized as much as or more than
traditional subjects in their children’s
schools.*
This is why more than 125 Doubletree hotels
this spring have partnered with schools and
youth organizations across North America for
Teaching Kids to CARE, a community-based
outreach program that partners Doubletree
hotels with local elementary schools and
youth groups in educating children about
making conscious decisions, including caring
for their community.
At the core of the program is a lesson plan
developed with The National Arbor Day
Foundation to educate children on the
importance of caring for the environment
through the acts of planting trees and
recycling. |
